Nursery adolfinchen: Small occasions, big discoveries – the everyday life is full of natural sciences
Scientific phenomena are part of the experiences of children: In the morning the alarm rings, the toothpaste builds foam while brushing your teeth, the radio plays music, steam rises from the hot chocolate cup, on the way to the nursery there are blooming flowers who were closed the day before.
Children want to understand the world around them and find out more about natural phenomena. These occasions in the daily life of a child can be used for educational work. Therefore the questions of children play an important role for discovering and experimenting.
In our nursery we work on new research topics with the children: earth, wind, water – everything has to be understood. We work on problem solving, experimenting, and observation and understand new topics with the children.
All of this happens within our educational daily life – sometimes on the side lines and sometimes as a main project.
