In „100 Sprachen der Kinder“ children express their interests and needs, they learn about topics which they are interested in, with the help of all their senses. Children have a right to education. We make it our duty to identify the children’s interests and to support them where they need it and to facilitate their development.

We respect the individuality of each child and respond to the child’s own development. Its needs, emotions, skills and ideas find a place here. Through working with a situation-oriented approach we find time for a child’s concerns and its interests.

Our goal is to enable the child to work individually and support him/her on its way to independence. We provide a prepared environment for the children and take the role of a third educator. The children collect their own experiences with different materials, they can be creative, discover and experiment.

We like to spend our time with the children outside. Through this the children can satisfy their urge to move around and experience nature throughout the year. During our walks we often see materials like leaves, twigs, fir cones or stones. These natural materials are perfect to do handicrafts, exercises for the senses, learning games and much more. Therefore we often take them with us to the nursery.

We create a portfolio for each child. Like this we document their development and show our respect and appreciation for the child.

The nursery Adolfine is the oldest of the seven nurseries of the organisation Frauen im Brennpunkt and was opened in fall 1999. Two child-care educators and two assistants supervise two morning groups with a total of 24 children. The children are between one and a half and three years old. The afternoon group consists of six children with one child-care educator and an assistant.

With child-appropriate rooms the trained personal builds an environment of safety, security and trust where the children can develop.

Joint group work in groups of mixed age create a social development and learning space where the children can learn about helpfulness, consideration and tolerance.

We focus especially on individual acclimatisation in a comfortable environment with permanent supervisors to support a good start in the nursery.

The concept focus “Reggio-Pädagogik” forms our image of an active and world discovering child and challenges us to let the children solve their problems by themselves and develop their expressions.

Our nursery consists of four bright, friendly and tall rooms. The two group rooms include various play materials but also offer space to withdraw.

The exercising room invites running, jumping, climbing and building and is used as a sleeping room at noon. The children also use the corridor to run, drive cars or steer the strollers.

In the summer we sometimes change the washing room into a water and bathing corner for them to play in.

In our kitchen the food makes for a tasty experience of the senses.

The food is child-appropriate, varied and balanced.

We respect possible allergies, intolerance, aversions or religious or cultural eating habits.
